Whattssupp???

Just got home from the dentist. Brother took me for post op checkup. Had to have all my top teeth out yesterday. Whew! Glad that's behind me. guess my new name will be  "Denture Dottie". At least all teeth will be perfect. Just waiting for the swelling to go down. I know....tmi...Now here I sit, too humid (really. like the Bayou in LA) to do anything out there. Gotta watch the Weather Channel to see what's comming. The weeds are going great, but so are the Daylilies and Phlox. Some stuff needs staking and deadheading but that's on my TOIT list. I wonder if any one has a recipe for plums? There are literally THOUSANDS of them on my tree this year! More than ever before. That could be a great Christmas gift...Pretty cloth on top, tied with a ribbon, etc. etc. I used to be very creative in my youth. I even have a recipe for rose hip jelly from Euell Gibbons.I know this is short , but maybe I'll be back later...

    3. Hi, Jerry. Nice to be missed, but I haven't felt like writing for quite a while. If and when that changes, my readers will be the first to know.

  2. Oh my-I dislike going to the dentist big time. What kind of plums do you have? My mom needed the German plums as she called them. They were smaller and dark bluish/purple. She made a great yeast cake recipe with them on top and custard. It take some work but I love it. I can give you the recipe if you have those types of plums. Oh and we had to get another tree. The first one did die. They reimbursed us but now something is eating the leaves on our cherry tree. My hubby has some natural stuff he used but it didn't work. Do you have anything that you use?

    1. I use a mix of dish soap and water, heavy on the soap. I spray it on the plant thickly leaving a film to dry. I don't use chemicals cuz I feed the birds.( I guess that is natural, too. ) The plum was a graft. A fruit coctail tree as it read in the catalog. Three of the grafts did not make it . I do have the small purple ones you talked about, and a small red plum as well. I would love any recipes you could provide. Hope this helps......Let me know. Kathy.
