I'm Bored so I plan stuff

Merry Christmas to all....and to all a good night! (couldn't help the last bit)  Where does the time go? Hopefully more garden catalogs will get here soon and I can plan this year's projects. Might be from my walker, but the neighbors have seen that before. One Lucille Ball moment was last year when I was raking leaves in the street sitting in it . (the walker, not the street) You have to have a sense of humor and laugh at yourself. It sure makes the days pass better. Come to think of it, I've had lots of "Lucy" moments. If I get my hands on a digital camera, I can post what I look like as a garden bag- lady Diva! It would be a great cartoon. I really should teach Butch how to pull a cart. One of those with bicycle tires for stability. I had one years ago and kick myself for selling it. If I find two tires I can build a small one myself. That would be great because I cannot push  a regular wheelbarrow.

    3. Happy Tuesday,Gloria. The only fudge I know how to make is this peanut butter kind. 1 1/2 teas. vanilla, 1 1/2 sticks margarine, one jar chunky p.b. and one box confectioner's sugar.Melt first 3 ingredients slowly in a pan, stirring constantly, after that you add the sugar. So easy a monkey could do it, and it comes out real creamy. I think adding nuts or cherries or my favorite, cranberries works just as festive .Try it and let me know what you think!!

  3. Methinks a good brother could build (borrow or steal) a two-seat go-cart for you and Butch to get around in-style in. In any event, I am glad you are feeling better, and I hope you-all have a very Merry Christmas. (Baa-humbug?)

    1. Merry Christmas Jerry!! And to your wife as well! A go cart....now that brings back memories of 11 or 12ish years. We had a place near our home were you could ride for about five minutes or so.My experiences were not too great. I seem to remember running off the track into the bushes, and crying all the way home as everyone laughed at me. I was much better with horses.

    2. The only time I remember being in a go-cart was on a track at a fair, and after a couple of laps, the operator pulled me out of the cart and pointed me in the direction of the bumper cars. Of course, the most embarrassing part is that I was 36 at the time. Sigh.

    1. HoHoHo Birgit (and I'm NOT referring to the professional women kind) Happy Christmas!! The only rocks I DO save are the large ones from my yard (for stone walls) and the semi-precious ones in my collection i.e. amethyst, topaz, opals, or anything I can afford from watching the gem hours on JTV. My favorite gem on the planet is Russian Chrome Diopside. I have many. If you Google it the story is quite fascinating. My mom used to make semi-precious gemstone jewelry and that is where my love seemed to stem from. She would sell it from her booth in an indoor flea market. When she died, I got her tools and supplies.I have not been ambitious enough to set up a stand of my own yet, but I have given things as gifts. There is a whole section in my back room dedicated as my work area. Every thing is on the wall on pegboards. I picked up a bookcase headboard off the sidewalk, and it serves as my desk. It straddles two small bureaus perfectly! there is just room for a chair in between. Boy, Santa must have left me the gift of being long winded!!!Merry merry Christmas to you!!
